The Kingsley Junior Football Club (KJFC) has established a number of measures aimed at reducing the likelihood of injury to it’s members, but football is a contact sport and unfortunately from time to time an injury occurs. As a result of this, the KJFC through the AFL National Risk Protection Programme has access to personal injury insurance for its members. It should be noted that this insurance is only available if the injury is caused at a scheduled training event or during a game.
If an injury is sustained during training or a game it is important that the Team Manager / Coach or First Aider complete a KJFC Injury Report Form and forward it to the Committee. This form provides a record of the event / injury and will enable subsequent investigations to be undertaken.
Our personal injury insurance is through Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT Sport). In this program there are 2 different insurance covers, one for members who are Auskick players, and another for those members who are Modified or Open Rules players (Gold Level Cover). Please click on the following links for further information regarding a summary of the cover and policy wordings on each of these covers:
Should you need to make a claim for some of the events covered, go to JLT Sport for full details of what you need to do.
