Another great game from all our players today. It is really pleasing to see all our players contributing to the game each week, we don’t play well with only a few players contributing, we play great football when we have all our players on board. Last week and today were shining examples of this.
It is great to see some of our weekly training making its way into our game play. Players have been taking on board what we have practiced or discussed which is a real highlight.
Well done again this week Tigers!

Today was a tough day on the field on many fronts; the wild winds, tough physical game and a strong opposition. None of these challenges prevented our boys from having a red hot crack on the field. I am so very proud of how much effort our boys put into each week and no more so than today. There were some great passages of play with kicks hitting their team mate for a smooth transition of the ball. The skill level of our boys has been exponential and I often forget they are only year 3!
    Well done Tigers!!

So proud of our Tigers again this week! It is so pleasing to see all our players give their all to the game. The pressure that all our players gave during the last quarter allowed us to dominate the game and take away a strong win. Well done Tigers.

WOW!! What a game of football today in some wild and wet conditions. Today we tried a new game structure, where the players were asked to play in set lines for the quarter – full back line, half back line, centres, half forward and full forwards. The past rounds playing in 3 zones had not been working to well for us, with players following the ball too much and losing position for when the ball came out to the forwards or backs. I was super proud of their attention and commitment to the game and their team mates today. The new structure proved to work well, with our players moving the football quickly up the ground many times and enabling goals to be scored quickly.
The effort from all our players today was outstanding! Everyone got in there and supported their team mates to move the ball to our forwards. Given the wet and windy conditions, our players took plenty of great marks and found targets with their kicking. We are starting to see some benefits from our training in our game play now.
The boys should also be congratulated on their attentiveness and effort at training each week. The boys all put in a solid effort each week to learn and hone their skills. A big thank you to the dads who come down every week to help out, it makes a massive difference to our training session.
Thanks to our game day volunteers who toughed it out in the rain today, big thank you to Mark for umpiring.
    Well done everyone.

We were lucky enough to miss all the wild weather today for our game. Our boys tried hard today against a very strong Kingsway team and should be proud of their effort. All players put in their best efforts again this week which is always the pleasing part of our game. I am seeing the signs of our training coming through at times during the game. The boys are supporting each other in the tight scrimmages and working together to move the ball on quickly.
It wold be great if the boys could do a few extra skills at home in between training and game day. Either practising handballs or short accurate kicking to a target. This will be a great help to our game.
Well done to Seton for coming down this week while he was off to support the team. Shows great team spirit.
Thanks to all our volunteers again, of which there are many. Bec on first aid was definitely busy this morning attending to many small incidents.

Another great effort by our boys this morning. A slow start to the game was turned around from the 2nd quarter onwards, with all players lifting their work rate and sticking to the game plan. The game was a real tussle from there on and hopefully for the parents an enjoyable game to watch.
I’m super proud of the boys today. It was hot out there for the 2nd half but they kept on trying hard.
Well done to all the boys.

A beautiful day yesterday to celebrate Mother’s Day. A tough game of football with our team under pressure for the whole game, our boys toiled hard and gave a great effort. There is plenty to work on again as a team and individually. I am very proud of the boys’ effort and commitment to the game and contest. We will train hard this week with the view to a fun and strong performance next week.

What a great start to our season at Kingsley! Our focus for Round 1 was to show intent and get the football first. I was super proud of all our players, every one of our team put in the effort and it showed with strong contests. It was a real tussle for the whole game with Carine, with some great passages of play from both teams. The game was played in great sportsman like fashion and energy.
It is pleasing to see how well our boys have gelled with only a few training sessions under our belt. There is plenty for us to work on in the coming weeks at training.
Big thanks to Mel for getting our team organised and running smoothly for the first round.
I am looking forward to the season ahead.
