What better way to spend Mother's Day than playing a game of footy.
A great team performance with all parts of the ground on top for the duration of the game.
The most pleasing aspect was the teamwork orientated things the boys did such as shepharding, smothering, talking and the use of the handball to give it off to a team mate who was in a better position.
It's very pleasing to see the things we are working on at training being taken into the game on Sundays.
Great game boys, see you on the track on Thursday.

We came up against a fierce Kingsley Lions side in a derby and boy did they come out ready to play.
The first quarter was a real tough contest played mostly through the middle part of the ground with neither team able to capitilize on their forward entries due to outstanding defence.
Our boys pressure all over the ground & tackling was superb.
Our ball use & decision making seems to be getting better and I thought it was a real team orientated 4 quarter effort this week.
    Great job lads.

Great first up team effort from the boys to kick off the season. It was a tight contest all day played in two halves. For the first half I thought we were hungrier for the ball and Carine came out after the main break and controlled the second half.
A few things to work on at training this week especially our manning up which really let us down at times and gave Carine too much easy ball around the ground.
Couldn't fault our intent & endeavour throughout and there were some great passages of play.
    Well done lads
